Along with my "resolutions"

I'm going to give up computer time between the hours of children awake time. I think they are getting neglected because I want to check out a blog or an email or whatever. So the computer door will stay shut unless the kiddos are asleep. This is going to be purely torturous for me considering it is the FIRST thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do before I go to bed at night and just about 50 times in between. Does this sound like an idol to anyone else? UGH! What a sad realization when I am reading a book, The Read Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease, which is an amazing book by the way...it made me feel like a total heel...so I am doing this for the sake of my own soul as well as that of my children. Pray for me...PLEASE pray for me...this is truly going to be hard for me...

I have been trying to do this myself--to only be on the computer when Caleb is at preschool or sleeping but I have fell short --way short!! I was listening to some Christian music tonight and I told God I was going to try to read the whole New testament on the way to Guatemala--and then I read your post-- I love what you posted about the idol---ooooh so convicting!!! Thank you I needed that!!! You are an inspiration!!! hugs hugs hugs!!!!:o)

Hi Sis - I love you!! I have to say I am really enjoying how God has knit all things together :-) who would have imagined a five years ago that you and I would be encouraging each other in Christ. Pretty amazing! And if I do not tell you enough - I just want you to know I can see Christ changing you - and it is beautiful to watch!! I love you!

What a wonderful book! I currently have 7 copies of it and pawn one off on every pregnant person I can find. Good luck! You can do it!
